Uberant Search Beta Unveiled
Wednesday October 13, 2010 12:12:02 PM
After much effort we are excited to announce the official release of Uberant Search. This new addition to Uberant features a quality index of websites for you to browse freely the way you would elsewhere, with a twist. Our crawler is currently only browsing homepages of websites it finds. So unlike other search engines offering a mass of un-filtered content, the Uberant engine is offering the most relevant websites, not the most relevant web pages.
It is to be noted that all of our results are unique, not are pulled from or generated by another search result provider. Our newly established crawler will be updated in the future to pull results and store data from webpages across the globe however as beta testing continues we will continue to pull only homepages until we are certain of reliability and stability.
The option to search and browse homepages only will always be available on Uberant as it provides a unique searching method rarely seen elsewhere. The Uberant index has been building for just a few weeks now and new sites are constantly being queued to be added into the index in real-time.
On requesting a search result set you will notice websites ordered based on an algorithm to provide quality results based on relevance and PageRank. Each result contains a rank, website title, primary domain name, description or webpage snippet, PageRank, web address and an icon link with additional information about the site.
The Uberant Search Engine provides you unique search results sets that you normally would not come across by searching other engines. If you’re looking for fresh, new web sites to visit on a normal basis, our engine (and maybe our opinion is bias) just might be the best way to find them. Additional improvements and search technologies can surely be expected as work on Uberant progresses.
