Uberant Search Beta Unveiled

After much effort we are excited to announce the official release of Uberant Search. This new addition to Uberant features a quality index of websites for you to browse freely the way you would elsewhere, with a twist. Our crawler is currently only browsing homepages of websites it finds. So unlike other search engines offering a mass of un-filtered content, the Uberant engine is offering the most relevant websites, not the most relevant web pages.

WYSIWYG Editor Update Tiny MCE (part 2)

Thanks to Avijit for identifying bugs with the Xinha Javascript WYSIWYG editor. Issues came up with processing posts via FireFox, Safari and Google Chrome. IE worked fine but in an effort to offer maximum compatibility, we making additional changes to the WYSIWG editor.
We are now in the processing of testing and installing Tiny MCE into the member's area of Uberant. Changes should be complete shortly, you may also notice other design and navigation updates to the members area already applied or being applied over the next 24 hours.
WYSIWYG Editor Update

The WYSIWYG editors supplied for posting Articles and Blogs has been updated. The new editor is installed to correct formatting errors and keep html codes as short as possible. Functions supplied by the new Xinha Editor should correct formatting frustrations that were supplied by the previous editor.
For quick reformatting of your previous articles, copy and paste your articles or blog entries directly from the web page into new Xinha Editor. Correct any formatting problems and issues will be quickly resolved.

Geo-Domains: A-Z Catalog of Registered Domains

We are excited to announce yet another new feature to the growing collection of tools and utilities we are making available on Uberant, the Geo-Domains catalog. This new installation is an extension of our new Site-Lookup utility and can be described as an growing catalog of registered domain names. Provided with each domain is a link to each proprietary site-lookup page, packed with information about the domain and the pages found within it.

Uberant Cosmetic Updates

A cosmetic update has been applied to uberant. This update was applied to give the site a more polished look, to receive additional SEO benefits and to allow for users to apply custom links to the Uberant.com homepage. More updates scheduled in the next 14 days include updates to activity tracking, updates to allow for top site, blog, and article title modifications, and search functions.

A new article directory has been installed into Uberant. It is our hope that this does not create any confusion between the blogs and the new directory. This now enables users to use the blog section for more personal means while keeping their article writing and how-to’s in a separate location. This may also act as a good means for writers to develop professional portfolios.

The most latest updates to the Uberant program include custom Blog Templates, commenting and small updates to other areas of the site. Additional updates are being made with a conscious effort to release a fully-functional bug-free system that users can use to create highly unique web pages filled with unique information and content. Efforts in programming and development continue to bring Uberant closer and closer to becoming a reality. The most recent installation involves custom made Top Sites that users can use to attract audiences and pit web sites of a similar nature in battles of traffic; ranking the biggest and best at the top of any given list. Uberant Private Beta Build

The second private edition of Uberant is underway, the site has yet to be opened to the public. New installations are coming around and a reworking of the navigation and file structure has commenced. Much of the progress being made is behind the scenes and include details which probably can't be appreciated the same way that large updates and installations can. However, nothing would be possible without the work that is happening now and even more so the efforts that began many years back during the end of one era and the beginning of another.
